Display Active Projects Count in Sidebar

Currently in the Nirvana Beta version, the Projects heading displays the total number of projects, including Active, Scheduled, and Someday projects. For example, my sidebar displays Projects (94), even though I currently have only 54 active projects. Feature request: It would be useful to have an option to display only the number of active projects in the sidebar, so that it shows Projects (54) instead of the overall total. Ideally, this count would update automatically whenever a project's status changes. I believe this would provide a more accurate overview of current commitments, particularly for users following the GTD methodology, where active projects are the primary focus during regular reviews.
